Commentary Sperg

Someone who is involved with the happenings of the YouTube commentary community to an extreme, almost obnoxious degree. They spend a lot of time ranting ("Sperging out") about petty drama and have extensive, often unnecessary knowledge about said dramas.

Said people often have no life outside of the internet and spend their spare time in commentary discord servers or calling into livestreams to "Debate" others on recent drama, Despite Usually having no following of their own. Often, commentary spergs are used by the YouTubers themselves for information about events in the community.

Person one: I just found out that in a 2018 livestream, *Youtuber* made a negative comment about Keemstar-

Person two: You're such a commentary sperg.

YouTube comments section

A cesspit of waste.

If the YT comments section isn't filled with stupid overused memes, it's full of unpleasant people who like to argue something outta nothing and then vigorously insult people for not sharing their opinion. It's either one or the other, so choose your poison I guess.

I love watching vsauce but my god are the Youtube comments section an utter mess to look at. Instead of being normal people and having real discussions, people just spam the comments with low-effort memes that pokes fun at the video in a meta way.

off the commercials

Verb. A slang term originating from resembling the act of one's self or another being engaged in any type of action, energetic work, activity, or constant motive that never seems to come to a stop. This can have a negative or positive connotation, depending on context, such as describing a person who is constantly coming up with mind-blowingly creative ideas, or perhaps someone just out of control or acting weird.

A break from an activity or action would resemble that of a commercial break on television thus the term "He's off the commercials"

Adjectives: off the shits, on some other shit, geeked up, doped up, on a tip, trippin.

1. Student #1: Man this teacher hasn't stopped going on and on about linear equations, he won't take a break.
Student #2: Yea bro he's off the shits
Student #3: That boi Mr. Wahnon off the commercials for real!!!

Bro #1: Aye bra you seen Christopher's post's on Instagram bra? He's looking swole bra!
Bro #2: Yeah bra he's been hitting up the gym with Gabe lately, you know him he's never not at the gym I heard he hits the weights like 3 times a day!
