An imaginary button that causes someone to become a complete jackass.

Coined by Bill Engvall in "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road" when he was describing an incident during one of his flights.

Bill: Lady, I didn't get up this morning wanting to be a jackass...but you just pushed my jackass button.

Jackass Plant

The guy/gal in the class who always asks the stupidest questions, and is there for the sole purpose of making the other students feel smarter and keep them from dropping.

My buddy is thinking of starting a blog with all the quotes from the jackass plant in his Accounting 101 class: “Can you just estimate physical inventory? Working in a warehouse straight out of high school with no air conditioning sucks!”

Jackass Whisperer 

One who tries to explain him or her self to a Jackass.

One who has to try to make sense of even the simplest concepts to someone else (a.k.a the Jackass).

Becky: So Joe, how did the management meeting go?
Joe: Pretty much same old, same old.
Becky: So did John go over the org chart again?
Joe: Of course. The first hour of the meeting was spent by John explaining his choices of the color of the arrows, thickness of the lines, and font used for each subordinate level.
Becky: (sounding aghast) You've got to be kidding!
Joe: Yeah it's true. Vince tried to point out to him that there might be bigger issues to discuss but finally gave up. He told me later that he is sick of being the Jackass Whisperer.

The jackass quotient is a quantified measure of immaturity and stupidity, as the result of large ego.

The jackass quotient in the NBA is pretty high. If you gave incentive to players shooting from half-court by awarding additional points, you'd probably see them jacking shots up from way downtown.

Trump's fetish of sticking his dirty hands into the asshole of a mule.
