The Undertale Fandom

The undertale fandom has two sides. It is either the worst fandom on earth or filled with some of the most talented people out there.
The bad side enjoys shipping children with skeleton monsters, shipping long dead children with that skeleton monster's brother even though they have never met and creating AUs for the sole purpose of s*xualising the characters, including the children
The good side has some really good animators, cosplayers and artists. People on this side of the fandom like talking about undertale and playing the game, and are also usually embarrassed and disgusted by the shipping side of the fandom. This side can include theorists who talk about who gaster is, sans's backstory and the True Lab among other things.
Person A: I love undertale
Person B: you're in the undertale fandom? thats kinda gross, man. sans is an adult and frisk is a child who has killed him, his friends and his family in previous timelines
Person A: Ew no i hate those fucking shippers bro

Fandoms

Plural Term of the word Fandom, refering to a community or group of fans of a television show, movie, book or other media. Most commonly used to describe fan produced media groups, such as fanfiction or fanvids.

Fans usually use the term in relation to belonging to a fan group, as an territorial identifier from one community to the next, ie: "I've come across the term whumping in the SGA fandom, but we don't use that term often in the Buffy fandom."
I wrote this fic for the Buffy Fandom: This is a Smallville Fandom Vid: The buffy and HP fandoms are more popular then others.

Fandom

A fandom is simply the definition of selling your soul to the devil. It's unreversible. Choose your fandom(s) wisely.

Know that when you join a fandom, people will have many different opinions like per say twenty one pilots. When fanfictions are written for the fandom, it sparks controversy due to people thinking Josh tops or Tyler tops. (Warning: if you join the TØP fandom, you will become trash. If you are already trash, you will become ever more irrelevant because this fandom is time consuming. Say goodbye to any other social life that isn't within the fandom)

But in short that's not so short, a fandom is a community of people who come together that have a common interest. Pretty much the fanbase of a book/movie/show/band

Fun Fact!: a bandom is a combination of band and fandom, together making bandom so if you like P!ATD or PTV then you're apart of the bandom

fandom

It's like a club built on the internet that celebrates a specific topic, except thousands of people join it, and most of them don't even know what the others look like in real life. It also completely destroys your life. Here are some symptoms of a fangirl/fanboy:

You find yourself locked in your room for several days
Your room is suddenly covered in posters
You find yourself reading fanfiction
You realise that you're yelling at someone because they didn't understand your fandom and accidentally insulted it
You notice that you're crying because a relationship you wanted to happen was made impossible because one or more decided to pair up with someone else (please refer to shipping.)

Please, for your own sake, don't join any fandoms. I guarantee that it will destroy your life, then kill you slowly with feels. Then again, you don't really choose the fandom. THE FANDOM CHOOSES YOU, AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
I have been in the Attack On Titan fandom for several months now. Please save me. Find a way for me to get out. HELP!!

Anti-Fandom

A large group, usually consisting of edgy teenagers and jobless adults, hellbent on taking time out of their lives to diss other fandoms for a number of reason specific to the individual. Yet usually revolves around a single ignorant motivation for doing so. Anti-Fandoms instantly brand people associated with the fandom they are attacking, and believe they are much more mature for disliking a traditional community; however, they come across very childish nowadays.

(It's sad to be so triggered by an association that won't do anything to you if you stay out of their business.)
-

Anti-Fanboy: "You like anime? You're just a trashy weeaboo. Because ALL anime watchers are OBVIOUSLY weeaboos."

Anti-Fanboy: "You're a furry? Disgusting! You're some stupid freak wanting to bang people in a mascot uniform."

Anti-Fanboy: "You still watch cartoons? You must be some idiotic man child, read up on politics instead. It's is OBVIOUSLY much more healthy. Just look at how intelligent I am."

Anti-Fanboy: "No, I know nothing about these fandoms or have taken any time to do any research of them, but my assumptions are always right and whatever you say is nonsense. Everyone believing I'm a pleb are just stupid fanboys."

-

Normal Person: "These anti-fanboys are just as annoying as the actual fanboys."

-

"The anti-fandom of 'Harry Potter' are not criticizing the book. They're simply hating on it for a number of inaccurate reasons. Reasons they don't want to take time to research and understand better.
