Migratory Birds

A flock of young women from 'op North' who have migrated south, often for educational purposes and can often be observed squawking around bars in the middle of winter wearing little or no observable clothing.

I'm glad I wore my hat, coat and scarf tonight - it must be minus 5 out. Have you seen the flock of migratory birds flapping around the Oracle riverside? I don't know how they survive!

mirathon

A hybrid word derived from Latin 'miror, mirari, miratus sum' - 'to be amazed (at)' - and Greek 'Marathon' - borrowing of course the modern sporting adaptation of the Greek city name - used to denote a lengthy period of viewing pleasure.

I can't decide which makes for the better mirathon, "Lord of the Rings" or "Arrested Development."

Evangelicals on Wescoe Beach? Bet. Sure to be a mirathon.

Migraine hangover

Sort of like an alcohol hangover, except it is not caused by inebriation. Also known as postdrome. The end result of a migraine, it usually presents with a general feeling of tiredness, feeling bad all over, altered sensitivity to light and sound, sometimes accompanied by a sensation of having had a hot iron pressed to one's head or a troop of angry elephants ride on top of it. Best advice: rest and medication as prescribed by your doctor.
