a) the most pragmatic, rational (IMHO) response to the rhetorical questions "why do old habits die hard" and "why people resist change"

b) a nicer way of telling someone "no matter how hard you try to change someone, they will always retain part of their individuality."

a teenage boy comes crying to his father : " why won't my girlfriend Meedith follow me to Mechanical Engineering; all she wants to do is go study Psychology. Is there anything I can do?

father: no. She doesn't deserve that you commit a St Valentines Day Massacre on her, and you can't do a rat's ass about it; the cherry-phrase we, humans, are creatures of habit applies to her too. not matter how much you have in common, she is still her own individual person.

In order to provide a happy and secured life for our nation, the state has to follow an absolutely national policy and this policy has to be absolutely suitable and based on our internal organization. When I say national policy, this is what I mean: working for the real happiness and development of the nation and the country, protecting our existence before all else, relying our own power within our national borders... In general, not to cause a lot of tiring effort and harm for the nation by persuing unreachable, imaginary ideals... Expecting civilized and humane behavior and mutual friendship from the civilized world.

Foreign politics is closely related with the internal organization of a community. Because, foreign politics which are not based on internal organization are always destined to an unhappy fate. A community’s foreign politics is proportionally powerful and lasting as long as it has a strong and healthy internal organization

Humans

Humans don't have shark like eyes, or wolf like eyes, or lion like eyes, since they're not sharks, wolves, or lions. Sharks, wolves, and lions know no evil, they're not sinners, they're as innocent as lambs. Humans are not innocent, so they're nothing like sharks, wolves, lions, or any other animals. Humans don't have enough heart, guts, or innocence (lack of bad intentions) to be like sharks, wolves, lions, or any other animals.

The guys eyes were not shark like, they were human like. Another guy trying to scare a population into doing something, big deal. He was never anything like a shark, nor was anybody else. He was one of the humans, like everyone else.
