The friend zone is when a guy or girl has confessed their feelings to their love interest and has been turned down. And instead has been given the option of “just being friends” Most of the time the person being told this is upset.
This term is often miss understood,and used by often by “nice guys ”/“nice girls” not all the time though.
The person who has been shot down is now in the “friend zone” can have one of two responses; 1) excepting the fact that the other person does NOT like the romantically back. Or 2) being a butt hurt little bitch and blasting out with aggression and anger often and insulting the other person.

Guys stuck in the friend zone can usually be seen giving sappy gifts, acting codependent doing her constant favors, cuddling, giving backrubs and crying themselves to sleep when she hooks up with everybody else. She remains oblivious that he's doing it all to try and woo her, since every attempt feels like an act of friendship instead.
