Competitive relationship

A competitive relationship is a type of romantic or close relationship where both partners engage in lighthearted, playful competition—often to show who is more affectionate, attentive, or caring. The competition is healthy and fun, strengthening the bond between them rather than causing conflict. The intent behind each action is love, not rivalry.

Competitive relationship means if one partner texts "Good morning ," the other might respond with "Gooood moooorningggg 🥰🥰" to show even more enthusiasm and affection, playfully "outdoing" the first greeting.

unhealthy competition

When you're participating in the competition of getting as much screen time as possible from your parents, while your parents are strict in limiting your screen time and your opponents are 270 millions of the residents of Indonesia — i.e. the country with highest average screen time (6.05 hours per day) since the research in this area was first conducted back in 2020

Trying to get more screen time than 270 million Indonesians feels like an unhealthy competition; my parents keep cutting me off while everyone else seems to have endless hours!

A constant issue among humans where a lot of bad decisions are because the person committing them want to look, be, or act better than the people around them.
Competitive Lifestyle Syndrome can also apply to a person's private lifestyle, such as sexual pleasures or general passions and beliefs.
