Fake News

A phrase politicians use when they don’t like what the media are saying about them—headlines that expose them as liars or untrustworthy.
Probably no other world leader has uttered “fake news” more often than President Trump, who wants to demonize the free press by all means and at all costs—he denounces any article or broadcast that speaks ill of him and his administration as nothing but fake news.

Fake Besties

Fake besties is a term used in New Zealand, it means when two people are very close but don't like to stereotype themselves as being best friends or don't personally believe they are best friends so instead they call each other "Fake Besties"
Logan: Sarah and Emma you two always hang out, are you guys besties?
Sarah: NO! We're fake besties
Logan: Fake Besties?
Emma: We are fake besties because we are not actually besties but are tight as and talk lots!

Fake Sister

A term often used by males to describe their relationship with a girl who is not their girlfriend, but a close friend. This term does not apply to blood-relatives.

This classification boasts qualities typically seen in brother/sister relationships (e.g., mildly derogatory dialogue, occasional use of derogatory hand gestures, random story telling and re-telling, matchmaking, inside jokes, mutual-aid and support related to interference by outside parties, and the occasional transfer of funds with no repayment plan).
Person 1: "Did you see how fat so-in-so has gotten?"
Person 2: "Hey, watch your face, that's my fake sister you're talking about."

Person 1: "So-in-so said you loaned her $200"
Person 2: "Yeah, it's ok. She's my fake sister. I'll hit her up for $400 next time."
