Noun, an illegally modified weapon, usually one that has been shortened by means of either shortening the barrel or by cutting into/'chopping' the stock. These weapons are highly illegal, but work better in tighter environments and allow for easier concealment. In the case of a simple double barrel shotgun, where the term originates, you can literally take a long hunting shotgun and use a metal hack saw to cut or 'chop' the barrel down by over half it's length, cleaning up what you cut with some sandpaper, then cut off most of the stock but a place for your hand.
