<Maddenism> adj. --repetitive videogames that churn out the same product from the previous year cutting, pasting, and slapping minute additions that contains negligible improvements in graphics, gameplay, music, and other tidbits over the previous version of the game. Applies to most 2K Sports and EA Sports titles, and other games such as those from the Dynasty Warriors series.

"Ah man, NBA 2K6 for the 360 sucks, it's one of those maddenism games, it's the same version as what's on other consoles expect the player's faces are cut and pasted to look better, but everything else is just current gen video game graphics"

iron maiden

Very crappy metal band. Most of their songs follow a cookie-cutter power-ballad: Each song starts mid-tempo or slow, then after a few very repetive verses there is a guitar solo which starts at a slow tempo then suddenly gets fast in the middle, at which point the solo becomes totally unrelated to the song (listeners are supposed to think its good though). Iron maiden songs often repeat the same chorus four or five times in the same song. Be warned that Iron Maiden fans might actually get violent if you point out to them that iron maiden songs generally exemplify poor musicianship.

"Stranger in a strange land" is a cooky cutter power-balad with a crappy guitar solo and an over-repeated chorus. When is Iron Maiden going to learn to write decent songs?

Heavy metal band whose prime was from 1980 to 1988. After this time they have become a very mediocre band, rehashing the same tired 1-6-7 chord progressions and melodies in every song.

Man, Number of the Beast, Somewhere in Time and Killers are the best Maiden albums! Dance of Death and Virtual XI blow ass.

Refers to a marathon of the popular ye semi-deposed series Made on MTV. This usually happens in the wee hours of the morning or on weekends when better programmes are unavailable. Madeathons are highly addictive and almost impossible to pry oneself away from.

Sorry dude, I can't go out tonight, there's a madeathon on MTV.

when someone appears to lose their goddamn lives to madden...some symptoms include

dreaming about tom brady in bed with you,

beating your friends up because they cant run the ball,

trying to start a movement to make madden cards real to allow real life cheat codes

and last but not least, 1000 out of 1000 gamerscore in the xbox 360 version of it...
