Get the hanging out mug.An annoying, extremely irritating communication, usually performed at work, where a coworker will reach out to you, usually on an instant messaging platform or text message with just the word “hey” or “hi.” The offender will not say anything more until you respond, then either they will get to the point or will engage in meaningless chatting while you are attempting to complete another task. The painful part of this communication is that it will raise your anxiety level, especially if it is from your boss on a Friday, especially on a Friday morning, (can you jump on Zoom for a second? Aka layoff), or on a Friday night, (I have a fire drill that needs your attention ASAP, it might be an all nighter). The Hey hanging provokes the worst case scenarios, fear, and even paranoia when the victim is trying to figure out what is coming next.
I just got a ping on Teams from this project manager who I haven’t spoken to in months. The ping just said “hey,” now I am racing through my mind like crazy. What did I miss? What does he want? Is this person going to saddle me with something that will ruin my day? Get to the point and stop hey hanging me!

Get the i’ll hang your curtains mug.Hym "And it looks like you guys just hang out and talk about healthcare. That's fun. Did you talk about that Tucker Carlson interview where he questions Sam Altman about the death of the whistleblower accusing Sam Altman of stealing something? I'm the guy he's stealing from. I'm kind of integral to the plot there. Isn't that weird!? Isn't it weird that the guy that is being stolen from ISN'T QUESTIONED AT ALL in a case where a whistleblower is dies mysteriously? So YOU, Bernie Sanders see the guy blow the whistle. He had to have some court case pending so he could make whatever claim he was going to make. The guy dies mysteriously. The guy that is being stolen from... Hasn't been inquiried. At all. Doesn't that seem strange to you?"

Get the Hang 4 mug.verb / reaction phrase
To tell someone to stop, let something go, or abandon an idea, take, or topic that clearly isn’t working. Often used dismissively or humorously to imply that the person is out of touch, being repetitive, or should move on.
In modern internet culture, “hang it up” is commonly used in comment sections and may be paired with an image reaction (such as a wire clothes hanger) to nonverbally signal “this conversation is over” or “retire this idea.”
The phrase can also refer to retirement or stepping away from something permanently.
Notes:
Older or regional slang has used the phrase jokingly in extreme contexts, but contemporary usage is overwhelmingly figurative and meme-based.
Origin / Popular Culture:
Popularized in mainstream culture by Nicki Minaj’s 2010 song “Roman’s Revenge” (ft. Eminem), where it was used as a diss implying someone should retire or stop trying.
