When you go through an entire semester of class and don't learn shit. You hope your professor takes pity on you and gives you a D so that you pass and wont have to take his/her shitty class again.
After cramming a whole semesters worth of stats into the night before finals, Mike knew his only hope of passing the class was if his professor gave him a pity D

A pash, given to someone out of pity. Reasons for a pity pash include feeling sorry for someone because you did not pash them in the past or that they have not been pashed in a while.
Girl 1: Remember when that guy was in love with you and you always ignored him?
Girl 2: Yeah, I feel bad about that now. If I ever see him again ill probs give him a pity pash

Pity culture is where people with a nice lifestyle feel sorry for people without that lifestyle and imagine them to be suffering as a result. This in turn makes them feel guilty and they spend lots of time telling other people how awful it is for those people, to ease their guilt and make them feel noble.
They are easily manipulated by articles in the newspaper, which feed on their guilt, and give them a sense of power in their lives as they decide which brand of coffee to buy accordingly. They often have little idea beyond this about the lives of those involved.

"You shouldn't buy that brand of toilet paper ! I saw an article last night about how the people who make it are treated badly !"
"Hey, that paper is manipulating you through pity culture ! Maybe they have a deal with the rival brand of loo roll !"

The inferior snack a co-worker or friend offers you AFTER they eat a delicious, far superior snack right in front of your face. The snack they will choose to not share with you will usually involve large quantities of butter cream icing. You will ALWAYS be miserable and on a diet when said scenario occurs.
Debra offered me some 100 Calorie Snackwell's, but only after she ate the oh-so-yummy chocolate Ele cupcake in front of me. She must really hate me to offer me such a pity snack. :(
