A boy usually in anime that acts and looks a lot younger than they actually are. The opposite of this is Loli, which simply uses this definition but refers to girls. A shots looks and behaves young but is actually much older

Legal Shota

Legal Shota/ Shōta/or Shouta, is a young boy (18 and over) that looks younger and more child like (like how a legal loli does). Honey-Senpai from OHSHC (Ouran Highschool Host Club) is an example of a Shōta and is not a Legal shōta because he is 17. There are also different types of Shotas, such as a Shota Trap. A legal Shota trap applies the same way.

That shota over there may look young, but he is a legal shota!
