A procedure first invented by Stacy Wilkinson in which anyone can participate. There are a few rules to "planking" however.
1. You must always lay face down, ensuring your face remains expressionless for the duration of the Plank.
2. Your legs must remain straight, and together with toes pointed.
3. Your arms must be placed by your side, held straight and fingers pointed.
4. You must make it known that you are Planking.
5. Your safety should always be considered. Properly thought through Planking procedures should always go to plan. Never put your self at undue risk.
6. Every Plank that is captured must be named.

Get the Planking mug.(A posture assumed on an escalator, in which the forearms are rested upon the moving rail, and the ankles to the parallel rail. The body appears as if it is a board stretched across the escalator on the way down, or up. This resembling a wooden board (a plank) stretched across the rails. The goal is to position the body as straight as possible, and utilize ones upper and lower body strength to this advantage.
Variations:
(1) "Planking to Hell": When the act is performed on the downward moving escalator.
(2) "Planking to Heaven": When the act is performed on the upward moving escalator
(3) "Ride the Plank!": The act of encouraging another to go planking.

Get the Planking mug.This is a form of "meme busting" where you interrupt a person about to have their photo taken by a friend or their cam set to auto while they are planking. Most commonly this interruption is in the form of spanking that persons ass rather hard with with a paddle or other blunt object.
Throwing water on the person is also a hilarious way to "spank their plank".
It is important to remember to have a friend or your own cam set to auto to take a picture of this while you do it. It is very funny if the victim's own camera or friend taking their picture is also in he shot so you can capture their reaction as well.
