SPD is unrelated to Schizophrenia. Like other personality disorders, symptoms must have a long-term effect upon the victim's life, often impairing social and emotional functioning. Sufferers of SPD tend to be seen as cold, distant, and not affectionate whatsoever. They have a difficult time expressing emotions, and are indifferent to praise and criticism. Individuals with SPD lack any desire for friendly or romantic relationships. These individuals often lack any desire for sex as well, and will most likely prefer masturbation because they are unable to tolerate the emotional or physical closeness required during sex.
Victims of Schizoid Personality Disorder really have nothing wrong with them, they just prefer to be by themselves.
