But then some try too hard and get told they are being a pick me girl or trying to be “not like other girls.” It’s gets all very complicated.
I think we should just stop putting people in boxes because of their race. I admit I’ve laughed at some basic white girl jokes, and cracked some of my own. But I’m trying to move away from the term. People should be able to be themselves without being seen as a group of “basic people,” and stripped down to their stereotypical qualities and traits.
