Latin for reduction to Biden, also known as playing the Biden card. It's an attempt to invalidate someone else's position on the basis that the same view was held by President Biden or the Democrat Party.

Reductio ad Bidenum was incorrectly used last night to associate Biden with freedom and gun ownership rights, the two have nothing in common anymore.

Reductio ad Ursidae: A satirical rhetorical tactic used to invalidate men's actions or arguments by making constant and often absurd comparisons to bears. For example, This technique highlights the irrationality of these comparisons by suggesting that men's behavior is so lacking that even a bear, known for its raw destructiveness, would act more considerately. However, in reality, a bear would cause far more damage and chaos than a man could.

Deductive Sophism

The use of deductive reasoning in bad faith—presenting logically valid arguments with false premises as if they were proven, or demanding deductive certainty in domains where it's impossible. Deductive Sophism exploits the power of valid form to conceal false content: the argument is valid, therefore it must be true. Or it demands that all reasoning be deductive, dismissing induction, abduction, and inference to the best explanation as inferior. It's sophistry with syllogisms: using logic's form to hide content's failure.

"All politicians are corrupt; she's a politician; therefore she's corrupt. Valid form, false premise. Deductive Sophism: using logic's validity to hide the premise's falsity. The argument looked good, which was the point. Form over substance, validity over truth."
