Yet another neologism that cynical young guys use to put down feminism by dividing it's adherents into ever more fragmented subgroups and implying the usual misogynistic traits (narcissism, shallowness, irrationality, etc) instead of trying to learn a single thing about actual feminism or engaging with individuals on a level beyond that required for a supposed gotcha.

So your tumblr feminism is at least something to laugh at, while your typical facebook feminism is just a sad narcissistic joke and of course radical feminism is too extreme and intersectional fourth wave feminism is really just identity politics. Wow, man, look at that booty! Heya baby, got plans for tonight?!

A (typically white, cisgender, millennial-aged, upper middle class) female who voted for Hilary Clinton, overuses the word "intersectional" without fully grasping its meaning, thinks feminism is almost a single-issue cause revolving around either federal funding for Planned Parenthood or the gender-to-wage gap in the white collar world, and enjoys declaring herself a "nasty woman" and collecting apparel and accessories with vagina emblems.

Brooke, a feminista, rallied against President Trump by hand-crafting vagina necklaces and selling them on etsy for $55 each, and offering 15% off with code PUSSYGRABSBACK.

Jessica, a feminista, expressed her opposition to President Trump by getting an IUD covered by her private insurance plan from her high-paying PR job, and posting about it on her Instagram account.

Laura, a feminista, didn't leave a tip and berated the barista at Starbucks for taking too long to make her venti extra-hot skinny latte, making her late to the Hillary Clinton rally.

feminism

A movement created to promote equal rights of men and women alike, simply put.

Many definitions try to degrade this notion by stating that it has backfired and turned into a reason for hating men. This is not the case. The reason people would think this is because in today's society many men are still raised on the notion that women are inferior and must be oppressed. They therefore promote hate against equal rights between men and women and try to degrade it in any way possible. Note that not all men are like this, but the majority are.

There will always be sexist men. That is the unfortunate truth.

Feminism is a notion to equalize the fields and make people realize that men and women are equal in every way.

Feminism does NOT support hate against men, it merely states that men are NOT SUPERIOR TO WOMEN. Get it in your goddamn heads, people.

Feminism

I love that all the definitions are done by men. Yes, there is a group of women who see it as hate all men and bullshit like that but feminism is and always will be for equality between men and women. The reason that is called feminism is that it focuses on raising women's rights to the same as men. Equalism suggests lowering men's rights down to where women's are. That means that women are charged the same time for the same crime. Women shouldn't be allowed to abuse. It means that men should be able to come forward with sexual assault and not be shushed. It means equality all around. Don't be a sexist asshole and try to say that women are trying to say they are better, the people that are doing that aren't real feminists.

Feminism is actually good if you don't focus on the fake feminists who hate all men because they are men...
