Noun or Verb
dŭb klŭb
(past tense= Dub Clubbed)
1. When a player beats their opponent by 20-29 points in a basketball (sometimes football) video game.
2. When a player is winning by 20 before the game is over. However, the losing player has a shot at redemption to get it under 20 points in one offensive possession so that the game can continue as normal. If the losing player does not score in the offensive possession and the winning player gets possession back, the winning player has to ask if the losing player gives up and wants the result to be a 20 point "L" OR if they want to continue. If the losing player chooses to continue, they have a chance to bring it back and either win or make it a respectable loss OR the result can end up being a 30 ball (lose by 30), a 40 ball (lose by 40), a 50 burger (lose by 50), etc.

“Dub” is commonly used as slang for “win” and “catch” meaning “obtain” or “get”. So by saying the phrase “catch a dub” to somebody, you would be asking them if they would like to play a game with you and attempt to win.

Fist bumping twice in immediate succession. There should be no more than an inch between the fists at first separation, nor should it last longer than a heartbeat.

Did you hear the dub?
Yeah, I heard the dub - boss is making us come in early on Sunday. Can't believe I'm hearing the dub.
