Uncle Mary

A gay person, who may or may not be out, and actively works against the interests of the LBGT community. Like an Uncle Tom for the gays, he will go along with the conservative right wing rather than growing a pair and standing up for himself and others like him. Exhibiting high self deception, he's acting overly anti-gay to avert suspicion that he is gay. Often applied to a politician.

By voting against every gay friendly piece of legislation he could, Larry Craig outed himself as Uncle Mary.

The California State Senator caught driving while intoxicated when leaving a gay bar with a male passenger, Roy Ashburn, is a sad Uncle Mary.

Hollywood Undead

They are a band from the Hollywood area. Technically a Rock band but they really have no genre. They are one of very few bands that can are successful using Rock, Rap, Screaming, and Hip-Hop elements in their music. Their songs vary from being about sex, drugs, and drinking: "Everywhere I Go" and "Comin' in Hot" to more serious, emotional songs "Black Dahlia", "Young", and "Pour Me". The symbol they use for the band is called the Dove & Grenade, a dove holding a grenade in it's talons. They wear masks and each of them has an alias nickname they go by. Many people know them only by their popular songs so assume they are white trash ghetto acting kids. However, most of them grew up on the streets of LA poor as dirt. A few of the band members even had no home even after their first album released. A lot of their songs are from the heart and deal with their personal experiences and observations.

Uncle Ruckus

A character from the animated show "Boondocks". Uncle Ruckus is a black man who worships the white race and abhors all others but predominantly blacks. His jokes and stereotypes of blacks are as humorous as they are offensive. The Boondocks is notorious for metaphors within characters and scenes. Uncle Ruckus is no exception and the ingenuity of his character is perhaps one of the greatest to grace any form of media. The metaphor behind his character is the older generation of non-blacks (asians and hispanics can be racist against blacks also) who still cling to their prejudices against blacks. The character of Uncle Ruckus is successful in portraying that part of society in an insulting manner while remaining humorous just like his comments about the black race. Uncle Ruckus is also a conflicting character since at times he admits to being black but denies it at other points in the series. This also serves as a metaphor for people who lie about their heritage or begin to hate their own to become another one. Uncle Ruckus embodies some of the worst aspects of society in a comical fashion.
