Quiver puss is a sound that someone makes in emotional distress, during a vulnerable moment when the lip starts to quiver as they try to hold back the tears however end up letting out a slight wimper adding to the perceived state of weakness instead.

I couldn’t help but quiverpuss causing all eyes on me as I tried holding back the tears while running out of the room.
