Spite-based politics

When someone bases their entire political advocacy off of hating a person or group of people with certain political beliefs; people often engage in spite-based politics because of past personal experiences they've had
Jimmy engaged in spite-based politics when he said his only reason for why I should vote for Trump is because his ex-girlfriend voted for Biden.

politics

One big mid-life crisis in which rich, balding middle-aged men compete for the approval of their nation in order to distract themselves from the fact that they are over the hill with no way of going back as they quickly tumble towards their death. The winner ends up in office being used as a puppet for his party to push their agenda while the loser retires to mediocrity and Rogaine.
Politics is a huge battle over who has the best hair and the most money... And political idealogies and crap like that, but who cares about that.

Geo-politics

"In geo-politics, there are no real friends or enemies, only friendly enemies or hostile friends" - Unknown -

The very dynamic theory of politics not between people or peoples of a region, but of the regions themselves. They can be as relatively simple as the 50 States of the USA and the Federal Government of that same entity to the highly complicated, such as the oil-producing Gulf States or the former USSR's constituent countries. Geo-Political relationships can also range from the fully justified to what would appear to be morally repugnant, but the actions themselves are purely neutral; the results of the actions are what should be subject to judgement calls.
Geo-Politics is in a constant state of flux depending on a lot of factors, from who holds the power to who has the resources to support an action. Some noted examples:

The USA allying with the USSR in WW II ( Germany was at the time a far bigger menace. Needless to say, the USSR's ideology would be eternally at conflict with ours.)

The Cold War that followed WW II was classic Geo-Politics at its best. Due to MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction) ideology, there was no safe way the US and USSR could directly confront each other. So came the period of Tinpot Dictators supported by both sides and at least two major proxy wars ( Korea & Vietnam). The support to these oft times vicious and repressive regimes was concerned with controlling as much of the world as possible versus tending to the individuals needs in those countries.

With the fall of the Shah and the ascendancy of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Iran posed a serious threat to Gulf stability. Though at no time would Saddam have been considered a friend, his military could serve to defuse the potential Iranian flashpoint. As such he was aided in his war with Iran (1981-1988). The two countries laid waste to each other, leaving the rest of the gulf in relative peace.

One of the most important geo-political happening in the present day is once again the Gulf states. By no means should the Shiekhs' of theose countries be called our friends; Islamic Shari'a law is in conflict with much of what the US Republic holds dear, and there are factions within those countries that would like to see the USA destoyed. But as long as they are in power though, they represent a stable supplier of a needed world economic commodity (Oil). As long as this is a needed commodity, do not expect too much change from that region. Iran also is once more a potential flashpoint in the region, nuclear ambitions aside.

Israel is not necessarily our friend either, though at least society-wise Christianity sprang from Judaism and politics-wise a Parliament ( Knesset) is closer to our Congress then Shari'a law. Even though that is the case, Israel still has its own agenda ( A safe haven for those of Hebraic descent), and at times they do not always work in the best interest of the USA. They have been overly heavy-handed at times, even if they also have made attempts to settle the mater using detente.

A full discourse on this topic would take up one book if not several; this is perhaps a basic definition of the term to perhaps invoke more independent research from the reader.

Liberal Hippy Politics

"Obamanomics: $1.08 trillion debt and 8.9% unemployment for 2012"

"The Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday predicted the budget deficit will rise to $1.08 trillion in 2012.

CBO also projected the jobless rate would rise to 8.9 percent by the end of 2012, and to 9.2 percent in 2013."

I told you so..... what else can I say. I can't believe I remember this.

Yet the liberal hippy will still vote for obama, enen though Obama accomplished none of his goals but socialist healthcare. But that must be enough. A pure example of Liberal Hippy Politics.

It is really kind of beautiful isn't it?

conflation of religion and politics

Something unnecessary that is done far too often by immature, unintelligent people who feel the need to put a label on everything and cannot accept that not everything fits into their cookie cutter images.

One example of such ridiculous is found in the top definition of the term "libtard" (wow, what an intellectual, mature argument against liberalism lol). According to this definition, the politically liberal are all bound to Hell, unless they agree 100% with every single thing that that the definer and his political party say.

It's so funny how they accuse atheists (and anybody who is religious and liberal, which for some reason is the same as being an atheist to these immature conflators) of not being patriotic, but then will go up to bash about how liberals and atheists are "ruining America" and will bitch and moan about America's current state... but when liberals say that America is great now and can get even better by learning a thing or two form other countries... then suddenly they're antiAmerican communists?
For examples of the immature conflation of religion and politics, just look at the vast majority of definitions on here :) Lol.

Due to the conflation of religion and politics, people honestly think that being a conservative Republican who votes for George Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Donald Trump will get them into Heaven.

No, "conservative" does not automatically mean "religious" which does not automatically mean "spiritual" which does not automatically mean "Christian" because:

1. There are multiple religions.
2. There are people of multiple political alignments in each religion.
3. Spirituality is often very different from straight up religion.
4. Politics are the most materialistic and manmade system, whereas spirituality/religion AT LEAST IN THEORY is supposed to be a search for the greater truth.
5. Jesus, who was all about letting people into his home, I really doubt would approve of profiling, bashing, and putting a border to stop Mexicans from coming into America.

But of course, neoconservatives will continue to assume that they are the only Christians and, according to them, atheists and liberal Christians and Jews are all one and the same, despite the fact that they have DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT VIEWS ON RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY!

And this is why we can't have nice things *Sigh*

cut and paste politics

Is when a person/blogger cuts and paste others work to express a point. Instead of telling how they feel or think, they find somebody elses work that they think would be the best counterpoint to the others persons argument. Used most notably by "Hermit" on the Led Zeppelin forum to bash President Bush and any other people who he doesn't agree with.
Jesus Christ, I just asked him what he felt about the Iraq war, and he does cut and paste politics.
