When a male finds the need to explain the meaning of mansplaining to a female

My wife told me to stop mansplaining, when I was really just disagreeing with her interpretation of the situation. I decided that was not the time to mensplain.

When a man responds to accusations of mansplaining with the claim that "mansplaining is anyone disagreeing with you."

I told my dad he was mansplaining, and then of course he started meta-mansplaining.

mansplaining

When a man speaks condescendingly to a woman on a matter he believes her to be ignorant of, when in fact his own knowledge of the subject is materially incomplete. The possibility that she may know more about the subject than he does is one that the mansplainer cannot fathom.

Note that simple a misunderstanding, that occurs without derogatory stereotyping or condescension, is not "mansplaining," regardless of the gender of the participants in the conversation.

Jim was mansplaining to Rebecca, an astrophysicist, what causes the tides. When Rebecca's friend tried to tell him Rebecca was an astrophysicist, Jim said, "Oh! You're boyfriend's an astrophysicist. I'd like to meet him."

Mansplaining

A term used condescendingly by women to attack and belittle men when the women's ego prevents them from accepting the real, viable, legitimate solutions and helpful information offered by the man in response to the woman's complaints, broadcasted problems, or vocalized confusion/annoyance towards something.

Woman to Man: Ugh I'm so tired all the time, and overbooked, and I'm gna be late for my appointment AGAIN :(

Man to woman: I bet if you went to bed a bit earlier and set some alarms, you'd feel well rested AND be on time for your appointments 😀 You should also try to schedule some you time each day so you don't feel so overwhelmed 😉😊

Woman to man: Oh my god, you're so annoying! Stop mansplaining at me and leave me alone! You're not even helping!

2. When a man thinks his opinion is better or more valid than a women's, and "explains" how he's right in a condescending way that he wouldn't use towards another man
