A fascination with a particular person that has one exhibiting strange behavior; some examples are the inability to eat, butterflies, a lack of sleep, dreams involving or containing said person, laughing out loud spontaneously without a reason, and constant thoughts of said person. Usually affiliated with a limerent object, an object of lust, or an object of desire (some examples include celebrities, classmates and so on).

Lime Alert

A Lime Alert is a code word between friends or a couples denoting the moment when recognizing a person or persons known to them that they wish not to encounter. Named after the chracter Harry Lime as played by Orson Welles in film The Third Man and his famous entrance scene. The most common occurence of the Lime Alert's usage is before entering a party or event at which time the Lime Alert would signal the instant departure from the party.

Honey, if we see anybody from my work here at this Christmas Party just give me the Lime Alert and we're outta here.
