When an individual makes a statement and a nearby person remarks "cool story Hansel" sarcastically, the person making the first statement has been hanseled.

One who is hanseled normally has feelings of unimportance or social awkwardness.

Denise: Oh my gosh, i have to write an entire paper by Monday and I have to buy some makeup!

Thomas: Cool story hansel.

Cindy: Hahahaha you just got hanseled Denise!
