Expression used as a placeholder for a variable name in the interest of minimizing time spent naming, as well as to minimize the time elapsed mechanically actuating the keys of a QWERTY keyboard whilst using the left hand positioned in the home row of the keyboard. Often considered to be a negative code smell and associated with sloppy programming. Patent pending.
