Scroll of Shame

(Verb). Waking up on a Sunday and going from app to app to see the texts, Snapchats, etc you sent while drunk. If your poor thumb could talk it would ask to be amputated after the level 3 trauma it just endured.

This morning the scroll of shame was so rough, i ordered a flip phone for next weekend and am only putting 911 and dominos in the contacts.

Donation wall of shame

Adorning the wall of a hospital main lobby, the donation wall of shame outlines for patients and visitors alike how much individuals and corporations have donated to the already tax-free hospital. Shamefully categorizes the donors into patronizing names such as “gold donor” and “friend.”

The donation wall of shame at St. Agnes Memorial Hospital always greeted visitors with a reminder of how strategic Home Depot was with their tax write-off, but also how cheap the other businesses were in town.

Absent Mindless Soulless Shame

Human beings who lack souls have no inner strength and have a life of shame to the point where they're too weak to feel more shame. Additional shame at that point makes them forget more important stressors to cheat a false victory with smaller scaled issues to comedic degrees.

When a soulless human says, 'that's crazy' and can not explain logically how the target of the word is illogical. That is classic absent mindless soulless shame because the beast forgot the most important component of the word, 'crazy' which is not making sense

Ghost of Shame

When someone ghosts out of shame, usually temporary.
This happens after doing something they swore they wouldn't do, or that they feel guilty about having done.
Can be used among good friends, because friends don't usually permanently ghost, but they do ghost temporarily out of shame.

"Lily went to see her ex yesterday to drop of things and never texted me back..."
"She probably did something wrong and now she's doing the Ghost of Shame."

National Shame

A kind of en-masse guilt trip spread by newspapers and other media. Has its roots in archaic beliefs/notions of deference and paternalism that go a long way to fortifying nationalist sentiments and spreading xenaphobia. You only feel national shame if you swallow that sort of bullshit.
