Holpster

A holistic flavor of hipster; one who seeks out the full experience or knowledge of something in all of its nuance, not only for the sake of having it, but also for developing a more complete understanding of the world. A holpster lacks the self-declaratory proclivities of their 'Hip' counterparts, usually have a much less defined sense of fashion, and a wider taste in music.

From this understanding arises a subsequent impulse away from the "best" or most enjoyable options in low-stakes scenarios as holpsters tend to believe a breadth of experience is more important and enriching than what will give the most short-term gain.

Joe: "Why does Ed order other things on the sushi menu when the lobster roll is so clearly the best?"
Steve: "I guess he must be a holpster."

Stu: " Amanda is such a holpster. Look at her reading the entire Wikipedia page on Sumo Wrestling. Why is she doing that?"

Hopper

A girl or a guy, that hops from one person to another after being rejected, or simply not liking them anymore. Changes frequently, from every few weeks to months.

Guy: Yoo did you know every one is calling Annie a Hopper now?

Guy 2: Why what did she do?
Guy: She just hopped from Kyle to Kevin after being rejected by Kyle, now she's flirting with him. Watch her hop to another guy next month.

The current social, emotional and psychological isolation, brought about by the pandemic, prefigured by American painter Edward Hopper, many decades before the fact.

How had Hopper foreseen it? Isolated souls, trapped in vacant rooms, staring out windows at the empty American landscape, in the grip of a virtual Hoppandemic.

Today's project planning meeting required a ton of hoopsu to get everyone on the same page.
