As a feeling it would mean "You annoy me or I'm irritated by you"

In the 1940 movie, His Girl Friday, Cary Grant's character says to his ex-wife (Rosalind Russell), "I insist the night I proposed I was tight."

In Anatomy of a Murder, the Jimmy Stewart character is asking a witness how drunk the subject of the statement was and he compares "tight" and "sloppy with a drink."

In the Osborn Brothers' song, I'll Be All Right Tomorrow: "I may be a little bit tight tonight but I'll be all right tomorrow."
