A now famous everyday term for Marijuana, this colloquialism was coined by english schoolchildren just days after Mandela's release from prison on 11 February 1990, its highbrow nature and nonsensical link to the anti-apartheid South African jailbird meant it was a perfect code word when discussing your sweet mary jane. Frequently used in the teen soap opera Hollyoaks during the early noughties gave the phrase its noteriety, however it's covert nature was now lost due to the extreme popularity of the programme.

Madeleine

A girl who’s mediocre in looks but has a bangin personality. She will make you laugh no matter your mood because she listens to people and finds out what they find funny. She’s typically very sexual/kinky and considers no topic taboo. Madeleines will always be very particular in how you pronounce their name.
They are brutally honest, they want you to know that their complements are genuine when they give them so they frequently state all the negatives they see. Madeleines are terrible at taking compliments but are usually good at most things because of their high IQs.
Despite their redeeming qualities they are usually very lazy, crazy, and all over the place. Very messy bitches.

Madeline

Madeline- A girl usually with an outgoing personality once you get to know her or in small crowds but is kept to herself to strangers and larger groups. She is amazing inside and out but sometimes she’s just needs a reminder every once in a while. She is stubborn as hell but will get stuff done, and it will be done her way it doesn’t matter how long it takes. She will act like she is fine but she is actually hurting inside, she can be a raging ball of fire around people but never underestimate how tough they can really act. They fall in love easy but they fall in deep, so if you are ever told that they love you don’t lie to them or treat them like nothing because they date for someone who they want to be with forever. You can love or hate them but you will always need someone to talk to and trust this is your person, they give amazing advice and never stray from the truth. Call them and tell them you love and appreciate them, sometimes they act fine but all they need is someone to listen because most likely they are screaming for help but nobody is there to listen.
