April 19th, give your Den a nice deep cleansing sponge bath. (Using a sponge is optional, you can use whatever you have on you that is handy, ie tongue etc).

Shocked by how filthy and dirty Den was, I decided to give him a sponge bath on National Give Den a Sponge Bath Day. A perfect day for a nice deep spring cleansing, get deep in all the cracks and crevices.

The origin of this phrase is unknown however, rumors say that this type of shower is frequently used as a substitute for a regular shower amongst truckers, as they have a tight time schedule.
