This is what happens when the plot gets lost. Generally a term used to describe the state of mind one might find oneself in, having spent too many nights out clubbing in Ibiza with very little if any sleep whatsoever.

Similar to a plot bunny, except that it is an idea for a story that gnaws at your ankles instead of bouncing around in your head.

So I had a plotbunny for a jetshipping fic, but I thought about it so much that it became a plot chipmunk.
