Coolitude

Coined by Franco-Mauritian poet and semiologist Khal Torabully in the 90's, coolitude blends two meanings, widely circulated nowadays :
- the attitude of being relaxed, cool, non-violent, springing from the ahimsa of Gandhi, to promote understanding between human groups, cultures, arts...
- a poetics or vision of the world, to celebrate the coolie or indentured in History, whose memory was in limbo, as he/she was the one who was neglected in History and Literature. In coolitude, the word coolie was reappraised, in a view of giving a voice to the downcast, and develop a dialogue between descendants of slaves and coolies, and to promote cultural interaction and understanding, in a wider sense, in a globalized world.

Cooling towers are heat removal devices used to transfer process waste heat to the atmosphere. Cooling towers may either use the evaporation of water to remove process heat and cool the working fluid to near the wet-bulb air temperature or rely solely on air to cool the working fluid to near the dry-bulb air temperature. Common applications include cooling the circulating water used in oil refineries, chemical plants, power stations and building cooling. The towers vary in size from small roof-top units to very large hyperboloid structures that can be up to 200 metres tall and 100 metres in diameter, or rectangular structures that can be over 40 metres tall and 80 metres long. Smaller towers are normally factory-built, while larger ones are constructed on site.

cooling my heals

Waiting

Man, I started off my morning of work and ran out of interviews. Now, I'm just cooling mu heals until my LCO meets up with me to get the rest for the day.

He/She's just cooling her heals for the afternoon.

All that bad mouthing about peoples downfalls and some just really don't get caught up in the game like that and cool them heals until the smoke clears.

My guy said he had to meet a man about a dog. Just cooling my heals until dude man decides to get back with me on the last order.
