A form of scat singing performed by two or more people. The origins of the crimp are commonly credited to Vince Noir and Howard Moon of The Mighty Boosh. But some credit the 1988 Tom Hank's film 'Big' as introducing crimping to the world. Crimps are as previously mentioned, sung by at least 2 people, are contain no "real" music (i.e. acapella), and often contain somewhat surreal lyrics that portray an event which happened to a crimper. The term crimping was coined in a Season 3 episode of The Mighty Boosh, during a scene in which Vince and Howard crimp to two imposters who quickly plagiarize the duo.
