Schmoment

An awkward or embarrassing social situation where a person is left feeling like a moron, putz or Schmoe.

Ex 1: I broke wind on the empty elevator only to have my someone get on at the next floor when things still smelled ripe.

Ex 2: I had a complete schmoment when I thought I was alone when I picked my wedge, then I saw the security camera behind me.

Ex 3: My schmoment of the day was when I asked the young lady accompanying my boss if she was his daughter- it was his girlfriend.

A state of confusion and general lack of brainpower caused by smoking marijuana the night before. Essentially, a weed hangover.

I believe I failed my physics exam this morning after waking up with the schmoids. I will never toke again prior going to bed.

Schmont

Schmont is a multi-purpose word made up by a woman from South Bend, Indiana in 2004. It was originally used as a fun rhyme to the word "want" when ordering dinner, but then took on a life of its own. It can be used to reference something positively or negatively, depending on your mood. Some believe the word is actually derived from the stage name of a little known recording artist who's had multiple stints in rehab and exactly zero hit singles. Others regard it simply as a fun nickname to be used at random.

Positive reference:

"This burrito is schmont-tastic! I love it!"

Negative reference:

"Lenny is such a schmont-licker!"

As a name or nickname:

"Did you meet Schmont at Pete's patio last night for drinks?"

Derivations of the word Schmob:

Schmobbin(verb): straight up balls to the wall partying or any action involving wanton disregard for ones own safety or physical well being; an extreme activity in which an individual enters an abnormal heightened state of mind i.e. experiences with controlled substances, adrenaline surges etc.

Schmobbin(adj.): A definition for a person place or thing that is particularly exciting, fun or enjoyable.

Schmobbed(adj.): The condition which can arise during or after "schmobbin" has occurred; A state of inebriation, extreme euphoria or inversely a highly exhausted or spent state such as being hung over or injured.
