A scornful term for a person with politically Progressive views. One who is called a prog ostensibly advocates progress or reform, but the scorner sees him as a subversive, a socialist, a globalist, or a cog of the goverment-media-industrial-elitist complex.

The prog, Cooper Anderson, supposedly a reporter, aired some big story about Trump allegedly talking about grabbing ass, but Hillary set the world on fire with radical Muslims who are in deed raping and pillaging.
