Cobber

Australian colloquialism meaning "mate" or "friend", but not necessarily in the literal term. Can be used to address a stranger in leiu of "Hey, you there!" or "Hey, kid!" in a more friendly manner. As the word's been used since the earliest Colonial settlements of Australia, many Aussies mistakenly believe the word is archaic and no-longer used. In actuality, it's simply slightly less understood then more generic forms of greeting (such as "mate").
"G'day, cobber."
"G'day, mate. How're ye doin'?"
"Aw, been flat out like a lizard drinkin'. Hear the Sydney Swans hammered Collingwood on Saturday?"
"Ripper."

Fucked Myself into a Corner

When one starts a dating or having casual sex with one guy within a tight group of guy friends (e.g, a band, a hockey team, co-workers, rich twins and their dependent BFF). Upon discovering that the initial relationship is dwindling, availability and opportunity, catalyzed by excessive alcohol or drug use, ensues in the initial girl hooking up with one or several members of the group of guys. After depleting all resources within the group, she soon discovers that they all hate her as she has pitted them against each other and compromised their bromance. At this point, it is safe to say, that one has fucked one's-self into a corner.
Example 1:

Friend 1: "Hey, do you ever hang out with those twins who live in that sick penthouse anymore?"

Friend 2: "No, after I fucked both twins and that borderline psychotic that "works" for them, none of them will talk to me anymore! Looks like I really fucked myself into a corner on that one"

Example 2:

Friend 1: "Hey, do you wanna go see that band tonight?"

Friend 2: "Shit, I can't... It's my ex-boyfriend's band. And I fucked the whole band last night, and he's really mad... so that makes it a bit awkward"

Friend 1: "Man, you gotta stop fucking yourself into a corner all the time!!!"

Cerberus

An organisation in the Mass Effect Universe. Known for it's anti-alien and supposedly pro-human policies. Headed by an individual known only as The Illusive Man (real name Jack Harper).

It claims to promote purely human interests to give Humanity it's "Rightful" place in the galaxy. Also termed a Human Supremacist organisation. Is infamous for terrorism on a galactic scale against all non-humans as well as for unethical scientific experiments and dangerous research.

Cerberus supports the principle that any methods of advancing humanity's ascension are entirely justified, including illegal or dangerous experimentation, terrorist activities, sabotage and assassination. Cerberus operatives accept that these methods are brutal, but believe history will vindicate them.

Cerberus is one of the many enemies the player will face when playing the first and third games in the Mass Effect series. Curiously, they aid the player in the second game.

This organistaion maintains it's secrecy through a number of fronts, including political parties, aerospace industries, electronics corporations, charitable interests, etc. to cover up it's more questionable activities. Is believed to be enormously well-funded, normally through these front corporations as well as from wealthy human benefactors sympathetic to it's ideals.

They are easily recognizable by their white-yellow-black armour and uniforms, as well as their diamond-like logo.
- "Cerberus IS humanity! Strength for Cerberus is strength for every human!" = The Illusive Man
- "Our goal is the advancement and preservation of humanity. Nothing more, nothing less." = Miranda Lawson, Cerberus Officer
- "Earth first!" - Terra Firma Party, a front organisation for Cerberus
- "I need a better reason than 'It has scales' to go kill something." - Unknown Human criticizing Cerberus methods

First thing Monday morning, Michael Jan did his usual cube cornering on me. I had to ask him to leave after a couple of extremely uncomfortable minutes.

corner worker

Generally, cornerworkers hold flags to regulate the racetrack - red, black, blue, yellow, green, checkered, and meatball flags - and are equipped with fire-extinguishers and radios, and a strange will to stand in the hot sun all day while people crash all around them at over 150 MPH.
