Singapore Math Going Endemic

When most K–12 Singapore math writers would find it almost irresistible not to set questions on Covid-19 and its variants, masks, vaccines, and lockdowns, by adding some context to their content in their new manuscripts, unless their publishers think that it is morbid or a bad omen to do so, by rationalizing that the product of two negatives (people’s fear of math and of the virus) is not a positive in this case.

As Singapore reluctantly lives with Covid, it’s understandable that those who had lost loved ones to Covid-19 have reservations about Singapore math going endemic in this new normal.

A reference to the Youtube video, "Are you going to pay for that?", in which the video consists of a guy sitting in his parked car. He is then rear-ended by a teenage girl driving and accidently hits the back of his car. He then gets out a machine gun and begins firing it out of rage and closes with the question "Are you going to pay for that?".

going mexican

the act of three passengers occupying the front bench seats of a truck, even when there are clearly 2-3 more seats in the back.

term is derived from the observation that Mexicans will often all sit in the front with each other, leaving the back seat clearly vacant, probably so one person is not left to be a loner in the back seat.

Nothing against Mexicans, purely observational. I'm Salvadorean, and probably have more Mexican friends than Salvadoreans.
