Genre which defines the stupidity of the bulgarian civilization. The music becomes interesting after a couple "fingers" of rakia, a common cheap alcohol with interesting flavours, and some "shopska salata", the usual salad for a Rakia party. Usually listened to by:

It targets the masses with its simple lyrics and ordinary themes. The female performers of the chalga are ussally young, prostitute like and have low IQ scores. The Male performers are big, fat, and they have low IQ scores, too. In Bulgaria there is a chalga "phenomenon", a transexual singer, gipsy origin called Azis. Apart from the solo singer there are band - like formations, or orchesters - ussually gipsies.
