When the addictive habit of consuming mass quantities of any type of potato product abruptly ends. This habit is typically found among Irish people or those of Irish descent who enjoy all forms of potatoes including but not limited to potato salad, potato crisps, mashed potatoes, shepherd's pie, baked potatoes, roasted potatoes, steamed potatoes, potato dumplings, potato pancakes, potato pie, and french fries.

Luke returned from Annapolis, after a week of eating nothing but salad and bread, and desperately had a nearly unquenchable craving for any sort of potato product.
