Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University: School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. Today, coast to coast, more than 250 chapters and over 200,000 members support the goals and ideals of the Fraternity.

Swagman

A colloquial Australian term. Same as Hobo in USA. Someone who wanders from place to place working for his tucker, whose possessions fit into his swag (Ofttimes his blanket tied by the corners and slung over his shoulder on a stick) The song Waltzing Matilda was written about a Swagman who stole a sheep, but this is not the norm for the Swagman., He was a traveler, for whatever reason.

Walzting Matilda was a song written about a Swagman who stole a sheep, but, although the most famous reference it certainly was not the norm for the Swagman.

Sigma Pi

Also known as E.N., Sigma Fried, and 32 Gang, Sigma Pi, is an international social collegiate fraternity founded in 1897. They are known for there lowkeyness on most campuses. Their parties are always a good time and you never really have to worry about someone slipping something in your drink. They are also known for getting notoriously high hence their other nickname Sigma Fried but you don’t have to be a stoner to get along with them. Overall a great group of guys to rush or hang with.

Notable alum: Tony Romo and only Tony Romo
