Spumalter

Is a term used to describe the unpredictable weather conditions of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It implies that the city can experience "All four seasons in one day" at any time of the year. The word encompasses all four seasons into one word ( SPring, sUMmer, fALl, and winTER).

"The Spumalter season runs from early January to late December".

"Better take your toque and sunscreen to work today, feels like another Spumalter day".

"In Calgary, Spumalter requires one to carry an unbrella, and possibly winter gloves, in the months of June and July".

spurlocky

To use a very flashy, poppy and shiny style of telling a story or explaining something on film to hide the fact you are saying nothing of value or your subject is so shallow in fact you need for people to be distracted.

Named after Morgan Spurlock, creator of Super Size Me, Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden and other documentaries that emphasize flash, pomp and circumstance over content and insight. Was not the originator of this (Michael Moore came first) but Spurlock took this to a new level.

Does not have to be defined by documentaries. The films "Grand Canyon" and "Crash 2006" are other great examples of this.

The speech by Ricky Fitts in American Beauty was so spurlocky. It was completely empty!

Ben Stein being unable to prove anything in Expelled, it was such a Spurlocky affair.

Spiral knights

A decent game which the community refuses to let die, and we will make it stay that way.

An MMO adventure game that is kinda known (well not all that much unfortunately) for being a bit grindy when it comes to upgrading gear and lack of updates but then again their developer team is compromised of 3 people and lack the technology and personal and the soul parents of SK are not with us(Harry Mack, Nick Popovich, Ian McConville).

Gameplay wise the game is generally nice with the combat and whatnot

We will fight them in the clockworks, we will fight them in the fortress, we will fight them in the citadel, WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER.
