In their minds, no matter what anyone in Democrat-name does, nobody is ever allowed to criticize them, even from a leftist perspective. They are typically anti-progressive and align most with centrist Democrats and even tend to hold beliefs that align more conservative or right-wing than their leftist or progressive peers.
