This is often a shameless public display meant to bolster ego, but invariably arouses suspicion and brings the authenticity of the individual, and their abilities, into question.

Plasma Orbs are basically glass ball with a stick that has a ball on it. The ball fires out plasma like wires when a finger or a hand is placed on the glass.
