Derives from the film of the same name, where the director wanted to do a "Paranormal Activity" sequel but was pulled off the project to do the seventh "Saw" film, and out of digruntlement, saw that the movie was badly filmed, badly acted, with silly pink blood, unimaginitive traps and poor writing (including dialogue like "You're crazier than a bag of cats!" and an ending that fans had predicting for years).
