I'm sick of people saying ALL Emo's are fake I don't think I am. An emo is somone who is supposed to be unique but unfortunately lots of supposed 'Emo's' totally f**ked that up the whole point of Emo is to be different not the same!!!

Emo

Being emo doesn't mean being depressed, suicidal or hating the world. It just means that you're more passionate than most other people. The word itself comes from the word 'emotional' and is used to describe someone who feels more passionately than most other people do. All of us are emo at least some of the time.

Wow, that kids really emo. He got really upset over nothing.

I love that emo kid's poetry, its so passionate and deep.

Emo

More a lifestyle than a label. People who are usually depressed who can find no other way to deal with emotional pain than to cut. They cute their wrists, stomach, legs, anywhere they can reach sometimes. Emo's and Scene kids are confused often, having the same fashion sense, but Scene kids dont cut.

Listen, I just want to start out by saying, emo is not a way to get attention. Emo is not a brand of music. Emo is not skinny jeans and ripped converse. Emo is not dyed black hair covering the face. Emo is emotional. Emo people aren't doing it for attention (well real emos don't) they do it to see if anyone cares. If there is anyone who gives a crap about their life. If no one is there then they commit suicide. Emo is a way of dealing with problems. The pain of cuts distract the pain from the rest of the world as The blood washes it away. So the next time you call someone a poser or drama queen, think about what they are going through.

Emo means emotional, not skinny jeans and black dyed hair.
