hallway friend

Someone you know from one of your classes that you get along with, but arent really friends with. You would never hang out with them in public, but you dont mind talking to them in class and waving to them in the hallway when you see them. As shallow as this may sound, we all have at least one hallway friend.
Girl 1: Hey were going to the beach this weekend. Wanna come?

Girl 2: Fer sure.

Girl 1: You can invite your friend Jane if you want.

Girl 2: No way! I only know her because she was in my physics class. Shes just a hallway friend.

Thomas & Friends

Thomas & Friends (formally Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends) is a British television series created by Britt Allcroft, based on The Railway Series books by Wilbert Awdry and his son Christopher. It first premiered in 9th October 1984 in the United Kingdom, and started with the American spin-off series Shining Time Station in the United States.

The series follows the adventures of Thomas, a human-like tank engine, on the North Western Railway where he works with his friends: Gordon, James, Edward, and Percy. Thomas often gets into trouble by jobs best left to bigger and more sensible engines, but never gives up on being a “Really Useful Engine!”.

The cartoon is currently produced by HiT/Mattel Television, having acquired Gullane Entertainment in July 2002.

freedom friends

A relationship in which the end goal is mutual sexual satisfaction, with no expectation of monogomy or attachment. Boundaries and explicit verbal contract must be clearly communicated and adjusted as necessary to maintain perceived and actual physical and mental health.

While emotional support is appreciated, the complex and convoluted concept of love between freedom friends is avoided.

This set up is ideal for those who place a high value on perceived freedom, have healthy sexual appetites and live lifestyles which make typical love relationships too difficult.

To end freedom friendships, two weeks notice is good form.
I love being freedom friends with Sally. I can feel single and available while meeting others, go on dates, and fulfill my wild sexual desires with her when it's convenient.

Good friend

A good Friend not only likes to hang out with you and party and have good times, but thinks about you when you're apart and wishes good things for you. A good Friend may not talk to you every day or even every week, but can catch up in a matter of minutes. A good Friend will come to your aid, even when you haven't talked to them in weeks. Time doesn't lessen a good Friend's affinity for you. good Friends also are most honest with you, rather than shining you on.
Because I can go for weeks without talking to Beth and then catch up in minutes and because I would drop anything to help her or vice-versa, Beth is one of my good Friends. She has no problem giving me her True opinion either, like if my butt really is too big for those jeans. She usually has a better suggestion, rather than leaving me hanging with my big butt...suggesting I wear this mini skirt instead, because it makes me look hot.

favor-friend

a person who gives you a call or comes to you only when he/she needs a favor and uses the fact that you have a good heart - if he/she doesn't need anything from you, there will be no "how are you?" question or anything, but still this person will pretend that he/she is your great friend;
Bruno: I'm disappointed with my friendship with Alice. I used to believe we were friends, but now I see she's only a favor-friend. It is I who usually starts conversation, who calls, send Christmas wishes, who asks how things are going and so on. She nevers does so. She calls only when she needs something. Sad...
