You just use it cause it's a term that you grew up in the neighborhood saying. It's like being from Pennsylvania and saying "youse" instead of "you". Hella originated in the bay area like hella years ago. It was just something that grew on you and you still use it today cause you never grew out of it. Some guy from Vegas tried to tell me hella started in Vegas and I was like "Fuck that. Dude you gotta be fucking retarded, hell no."

Hell Week

The week leading up the opening night of a theatrical performance.
Signs of hell week:
-Begging your teachers not to assign big tests/assignments during said week
-Not studying or preparing at all for the tests/assignments that get assigned anyways
-Not talking to people in the cast/crew during school because you know you're going to see them for hours after school anyways
-Stealthily dancing behind the curtains....come on, you know you do it!
-By Wednesday, it is nessecary to bring air freshener into the dressing room and the person who does is a hero
-Losing part your custume at some point during the week
-Some one will cry
-If you're not a theatre kid, then it's easy to tell the people who are because they're falling asleep in class
-Wearing your production T shirt all week
-If you're smart enough to stock up on food before rehearsal...you better hide it!
-You're used to the squeaks and other horrible noises that the microphones make during the first few days
-By the end of the last performance, everyone is family and most cry

Hell

1) A small town in Michigan that is about an hour's drive away from the MSU area. This town has two buildings. (As I said, SMALL.) The first is an "Ice Scream" store, which also sells t-shirts with slogans such as "Been through Hell" and various other souveniers. The other is a small post office, which will singe the edges of letters and postmark them from Hell. Popular place to send allomony checks from. Will also sell you a square inch of Hell for $6.66.

Due to Hell's location, it really does freeze over quite often.

2) A fictional place of torture during the afterlife. A place Unitarians don't believe in.

3) Any place you don't want to be.

1) So, I was walking through Hell yesterday and it was freezing, man. There was almost four inches of snow on the ground.

2)Oh noes! You stole that pen you found in the street?! You're going to Hell!

3) Oh, God. My mom's making us go to Hell. Something about a speech she's giving. All I know is we're spending 4 hours in some hot, sweaty auditorium.
