The newest amarican fad of people who hang out infront of starbucks or any other coffee shop. Usualy driving there rich dad's BMW blasting some cheesy "Hardcore" band. Usualy everyone where's eyeliner. amd take millions of pictures of themselves. usualy post them all on myspace.com.

scene kids

1- Person who knows the local music scene very well. They knows the bands, who works with whom, which band is friends with this or that other band. Present at almost every show they can afford, especially local band shows.

2- Person who is known by people in their area, especially by people who frequent the same places and have the same style as them. For an example, that person will be known at 2 or 3 clubs downtown, acknoledged with the staff there, and know a few DJs.

There are many other ways to define a scene kid. Mostly, it's someone with a social reputation in their chosen subculture and area.

Girl: Hey I've seen Cathy at the Saphir yesterday... she was chatting with the barmaid, that's usual.

Boy: Yeah, well Cathy is such a scene kid! I saw her at 2 shows last week.

basically they depress emo people... Emo doesnt rili care but deep down inside they hate you for stealing their styles...

difference:

emo - listens to music that relates to their life

scene kids - listens to unpopular music (which is now popular cause scene kids are growing)

scene kid - hav u heard this band pale kids?! they are so like cool

emo- yes i listen to them, they define my personality

scene kids- i just like it! people dont noe it!.. OMG im soo original!..

scenester

People who follow some sort of trend, usually music-related fashion. For a scenester, it's not about meaning or substance, it's about appearance.

"Emo", Indie, and Punk have a lot of scenesters.

I saw two scenesters walk into the supermarket today. They weren't together, but they both had the same hair cut, tight pants, the same studded belt, and a parent's credit card.
