cradle of filth

A good symphonic metal band that is neither death nor black metal. They are great, and these faggots are scared because of all the bands in the extreme metal genre, cradle of filth is the most popular. Although popular in thir own field, many people have no idea who they are and the only airtime ive ever seen them get was on Uranium(fuse). They are good and as close to black/death metal as you can get. Another people tend to turn away from them is their attitude. They make fun of themselves, referring to the collection "lovecraft and witchhearts" a compilation of "musical excriments". They, although look satanic are not. They dont go around sacrificing things in the name of Satan or things of that sort. But thats what people want who are into this kind of msic style. Cradle of filth have ctaegorized themselves as "black metal for bastards". Overall a great band, and has almost no commercial popularity, so dont worry-indulge in good, wholesome CoF!

A band who true "goths" or so they seem to think themselves hate because they are popular, and they are popular because people like them for the wrong reasons. They aren't really black metal, as they have become far too cartoony and are almost making fun of themselves, but as musicians they can play their instruments well, better than any punk band.

Cradle of Filth

A band from England that formed between 1991-1992. People who say the are black metal are right, and wrong, and vice versa with people who say the aren't. They are orchestrated black metal. And whether you want to admit it or not their earlier work, and I'm talking first few albums, was black metal. And just because they've gotten mainstream because they've actually got some talent doesn't suddenly and magically make them poseurs or some kind of new music or genre or anything. It means they're good and people like them. So instead of having black metal, or orchestrated black metal, die because the only bands allowed to call themselves black metal have to be either underground or from sweden/norway, why don't we embrace the fact that, as with all music genres, black metal is evolving and growing and that is a good thing? Anyway, this mighty band hails from England and currently is made up of Sarah Jezebel Deva (backing vocals), Dani Filth (vocals), David Pybus (bass guitar), Charles Hedger (electric guitar), Paul Allender (lead electric guitar), Martin Skaroupka (drums), and Rosie Smith (keyboard). They are releasing their newest album, Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder, on Oct. 27th 2008, and will be touring throughout the U.S. All hail one of the greatest orchestrated black metal bands of our time!

Carpathian is a great example of a great BM band!!
